I think it's great that the establishment switches to 18 and over at 8pm. The setup at Pins Mechanical is simple, straightforward, and definitely works with a crowd that is likely to drink a little. It is a little easier with a shorter lane, but the string pin-setting mechanism eliminates the ricochet effect that might get you a few more pins. But I can see where this version of the game allows way more demographic to enjoy the game. I used to bowl "real" duck pins in East Hartford, CT, back in the day, with my chain-smoking, PBR swilling Great Aunt.
